Solar cars might not technically be gadgets, but they’re a thing that already exists. Yes, the future is here. We’ve got cards that are covered in solar panels and can actually drive! Sure, they’re not common and they don’t go very fast, and are mostly used for solar powered car races, but they exist.

Chinese car companies are actually working on concepts and are promising to make solar powered cars for everyday use in the nearest future. These solar powered cars won’t be super quick but we’re assured they will be fast enough to get from place to place in a city. So don’t plan a cross-country road trip in a solar powered car, but you’ll get to work just fine.
