10.World’s Largest Solar-Powered Boat

The Tûranor PlanetSolar is the worlds biggest solar powered boat and it’s actually the only ship in the world that travelled all the way across the globe using nothing but solar power. The top half of the ship is completely covered by solar panels, which makes it look all sleek and futuristic.

The name of the ship “Tûranor” isn’t just a random name, it was taken from Lord Of The Rings and actually means “the power of the sun” in Elvish. This amazing solar powered ship was made in Germany and designed by LOMOcean Design. After completing the round the world journey, it is now being used as a floating marine research laboratory by Geneva University.
