Formula Rossa

Formula Rossa is a large roller coaster located at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi and currently holds the title of the world’s fastest roller coaster ever. It reaches the incredible speed of 150 mph (241 km/h). The coaster train accelerates through its top speed in approximately 5 seconds, using a hydraulic launch system. The roller coaster track is 2.2 KM in length, making it 6th longest in the world.

Because of the high air speeds and risk of an impact with airborne particles or insects, all riders are equipped with special protective glasses that look like those used by sky divers. Before going down in a rush of fear and adrenaline, riders need to endure a gut-wrenching launch 52 meters high.
