George Lucas & Mellody Hobson

It took about seven years of courting for George Lucas to finally pop the question to his then-girlfriend Mellody Hobson. But it seems that good things truly come to those who wait, as they’ve been going strong in their marriage since they exchanged vows in 2013.

You have to give the two some credit given their diligence on the professional level, too. Through her education at Princeton and postcollegiate advances, Hobson became president at Ariel Investments; she also took on a vice chair role at Starbucks. As for Lucas, his success in the film industry is impressive to say the least.
