Billie Jean King

In 1973, Billie Jean King went up against Bobby Riggs in what became known as the “Battle of the Sexes”. The female tennis player ended up victorious against her opponent and became very famous after the iconic match. In 1981, she was the first female athlete to come out of the closet. Six years later, she and Larry King got a divorce. The sportswoman was also inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
