Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are perhaps one of the most intriguing royal couples to have ever graced the hallways of Buckingham Palace (albeit they had a very fleeting stay). One of the main reasons for this is because their marriage — and Markle’s induction into the royal family — marked a special occasion, given Markle’s African-American ancestry and acting career.

However, she sacrificed her previous life to become a royal — this, too, would be a short-term venture in her life. Indeed, in 2020, Markle and Prince Harry announced they would be taking a departure from royal life, with the possibility of returning being uncertain.
