Since the coronavirus (COVID-19) was declared a pandemic, it’s caused panicked reactions worldwide. Maintaining sensibility and responsibility is essential in preventing the virus from spreading even further, so it’s important to arm yourself with accurate knowledge on how to avoid getting infected as well as the risks that could promote transmission within your home and community. The following article highlights 15 things you should not do to help flatten the curve.
1. Do Not Touch Your Face
The World Health Organization (WHO) has emphasized the importance of not touching our face, nose, and mouth. This may be the hardest thing to avoid because we subconsciously touch our face, rub our eyes or nose more than 20 times a day. If an infected person sneezes, coughs on a surface, the virus remains viable for a few hours. If we make any contact with that same surface and touch our face afterward, the virus is transmitted through our eyes, nose, and mouth.
