Victorie Franklin and Aretha Franklin

Born in 1942, Aretha Franklin was known globally as the Queen of Soul, and news of her recent death at 76 years old has shocked fans and celebrities alike. The legendary singer won 18 Grammys and sold over 75 million records worldwide, and she’s considered as one of the greatest singers of all time.

Franklin was married twice and has four children; and one of her granddaughters, Victorie Franklin, daughter of Kecalf, is 18 and inspired by her grandmother. She’s also trying her luck as a singer, having already had her debut on stage in 2014 when she was just 14 years old.

She sang at the BET honors while her grandmother was watching and was very emotional. While we are sad of the great loss of the legendary singer, we are hopeful that Victorie will become a great singer like her grandma.
