Even though there are many scenes that were not in the script and happened naturally, some planned ones still shocked viewers. There was a scene like this in ER. Throughout the show, many viewers could sense the palpable romantic tension between Doug Ross and Carol Hathaway. Respectively, the characters were played by George Clooney and Juliana Margulies. Sadly, the actor eventually left the show and dashed the hopes that the fans had for this relationship.
