Oscar De La Hoya, nicknamed “The Golden Boy”, is a former boxer and a boxing promoter. He grabbed a gold medal in the lightweight division at the Summer Olympics in 1992.

He is also ranked the 13^th best boxer of all time. His earnings were so high at one point that he even became known for being the highest paid boxer, after which many others occupied the position.

Oscar Gabriel, born in December 2005, is De La Hoya’s first son after he got married to Millie Corretjer. His sister Nina was born on his second birthday. The little boy flaunts a smile much in resemblance to his dad, and one fine day, we might see him pack a few punches inside that ring. A health insurance is a must in boxing, we guess. After all, nothing can be guaranteed in a profession as this that entails living on the edge!
