20. Never in a straight line

During any trip, the passengers are shown a map with the flight path.  You will notice that the plane never flies in a straight line.  It flies in an arc. In other cases, the plane flies in a zigzag pattern.

If you’ve always wondered about this, the explanation is as simple as the earth has a circular shape while the map that’s on your screen is flat. To add to that, the weather conditions also have an effect on the flight path.
